Washington, D.C. — Today, Representatives Chip Roy (TX-21), Lucy McBath (GA-06), Andy Biggs (AZ-05), and Steve Cohen (TN-09) re-introduced H.R. 2159, the "Count the Crimes to Cut Act of 2025" that would require the Department of Justice and federal agency heads to compile a comprehensive report detailing all federal criminal statutes and regulations entailing criminal penalties.

Congressman Roy said:"Throughout my time in Congress, I have been working side-by-side with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to find a solution to enable a long overdue nonstop flight between Washington Reagan Airport and San Antonio.
WASHINGTON — Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX-21) and Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) reintroduced H.R. 1739, the Higher Education Reform Opportunity (HERO) Act today, which is aimed to reform the federal government's involvement in higher education and student loans.
Rep. Chip Roy contacted Fredericksburg City Council and Mayor Jeryl Hoover regarding the future of the property it leased to the Former Texas Rangers Foundation, including advocacy for a historic footprint for the Rangers to remain in Fredericksburg. The property is located on Highway 290 next to Fort Matin Scott.

Congressman Roy said: "Congress is so pitiful that the mere fact of a budget resolution reducing the growth of so-called 'mandatory' (i.e., automatic) spending—and tying the extension of tax cuts to those spending reductions—is, sadly, an historic event.
