Congressman Roy said: "This Republican majority must seize the moment and reform Medicaid. Most importantly, Obamacare's Medicaid expansion that increased spending on able-bodied adults instead of pregnant women, children, disabled people, and the elderly. 

"Dear Speaker Johnson,

The American people sent us to Washington with a clear mandate to cut reckless spending, grow the economy, and perhaps most importantly, secure our nation’s border. While many budget priorities were passed in the House Judiciary Committee reconciliation bill to achieve this outcome, including revenue-raising fees to fund President Trump’s border security and interior enforcement initiatives, it is imperative that the final version we send to the President’s desk include the following:

Washington, D.C.  – Congressman Chip Roy (TX-21) sent a letter to San Marcos city officials condemning an anti-Israel resolution scheduled to go before the council on Tuesday, May 6, 2025.

Several members of the local business and religious communities have expressed concerns that passing the resolution could harm San Marcos’s reputation. State and local leaders, including Governor Greg Abbott and Senator Donna Campbell, have also weighed in on the matter.
