WASHINGTON — On Friday, Rep. Chip Roy (TX-21) along with 44 of his House colleagues sent a letter to President Biden calling on him not to rejoin U.N. Human Rights Council (UNHCR).

The letter explains that, since its inception in 2006, has failed at its core purpose of defending human rights and has instead routinely ignored major human rights atrocities.

Today in the House Judiciary Committee's first meeting of the 117th Congress, every Democrat member voted against simple amendments offered by Republicans to recite the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America at each committee meeting and to swear an oath to Almighty God when giving testimony.
