On Thursday Rep. Chip Roy (TX-21) – along with 22 original cosponsors introduced the No Taxpayer Funding for Paris Climate Agreement Act to prohibit taxpayer dollars from going to rejoin Paris Climate Agreement.
"Notwithstanding any other provision of law," the bill reads "no funds are authorized to be appropriated, obligated, or expended to take any action to provide for the United States to become a party to the Paris Agreement."
