WASHINGTON—On Wednesday, Rep. Chip Roy (TX-21) led an effort condemning the Finnish government for charging Christians with incitement for advocating for their sincerely held religious beliefs, failing to protect Christians' fundamental right to freely exercise their religion. The letter urges the United States Commission of International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) to consider these acts when recommending which countries should be added to State Department's Special Watch List.

WASHINGTON—On Thursday, after sending two letters this year and receiving a boilerplate response, Rep. Chip Roy (TX-21) and Rep. Thomas Massie (KY-04) sent a third letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland demanding a congressional briefing be held to get answers on the rationale behind his decision to arrest certain individuals while declining to arrest others, and to provide regular updates on the situation surrounding January 6 defendants in confinement.

WASHINGTON—On Tuesday, Rep. Chip Roy (TX-21), joined by Reps. Thomas Massie (KY-4) and Mary Miller (IL-15), introduced legislation to protect Americans' medical privacy and curb the federal government's ability to track them.

Titled the National Patient Identifier Repeal Act, the bill would overturn provisions that give federal authorities the power to create to create a "unique health identifier" to track Americans' medical records.
