Rep. Roy's Pledge to Texas 21

WASHINGTON, DC — Rep. Chip Roy (TX-21) sent a letter urging the House Appropriations Committee to cease funding DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’ salary for jeopardizing American lives and failing to fulfill his oath to enforce our border security and immigration laws.

Lance Gooden (TX-5) led 9 Texas Republicans on Monday in sending a letter to VA Secretary McDonough, expressing concerns over North Texas veterans being placed on months-long waiting list instead of being offered community care referrals required by Veterans Health Administration policy.

I voted Yes on H.R. 5, the Parents Bill of Rights Act.

There was one question before the U.S. House today: if the federal government is going to continue its unconstitutional foray into the education of children, then should parents at least have a right to know what the schools taking federal money are doing with that money? 

For me, the answer is yes.

WASHINGTON, DC – Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX-21) and Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) introduced legislation Thursday to eliminate Dr. Anthony Fauci’s former position as the director at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).

The NIH Reform Act would split NIAID into three separate national research institutes each led by Senate confirmed directors limited to no more than two 5-year terms.

Roy (TX-21) led seven other members of congress in alerting the US Ambassador for International Religious Freedom, Rashad Hussain, to the United Kingdom’s infringement on religious liberty and freedom of speech, while also pressing the ambassador to speak out against it.
