Rep. Roy's statement on search for truck with trapped migrants near San Antonio

WASHINGTON — Rep. Chip Roy (TX-21) issued the following statement Friday in response to federal, state and local law enforcement's ongoing search for a truck believed to contain dozens of trapped migrants near San Antonio:

"Each day President Biden refuses to take care to faithfully enforce America's immigration laws, people suffer, it's just that simple. I hope Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the great Law Enforcement Officers in San Antonio are able to get to the bottom of this criminal activity soon. But these abuses will only get worse as the border becomes less secure under the Biden administration. Cartels and human smugglers don't have any reservations about endangering human lives – American and foreign, in Texas and throughout the rest of the union – for profit; meanwhile, Washington is encouraging this criminal behavior for the sake of politics, and it's despicable."
