Rep. Roy on the National March for Life event in Washington, D.C.
WASHINGTON, D.C.--Congressman Chip Roy (R-TX) had the following statement Friday about the National March for Life event in Washington, D.C.
“It is an honor to participate in the National March for Life event. It is my firm belief that we should promote a culture of life at every opportunity. Period. Life is a precious gift from God and I will always fight to defend the sanctity of life and oppose abortion in any form. I’d like to thank the thousands of men, women, and children that came to Washington today to take a stand for life.
It’s encouraging to see so many young people on the front lines of this fight. The next generation must continue to carry the torch and protect the unborn. As a strong believer, I stand with each of you in defending those who cannot defend themselves.
My wife, Carrah, and I wrote about how near and dear the issue of life is to us in 2017.”
