Rep. Roy issues statement on rule for H.R. 788, H.J. Res. 98, and S.J. Res. 38.

WASHINGTON, DC — Representative Chip Roy (TX-21) issued the following statement on Wednesday afternoon:

Today, I voted against the rule providing for the consideration of H.R. 788, H.J. Res. 98, and S.J. Res. 38. I support the underlying legislation in this rule, which undo Biden actions that empower big labor, line the pockets of progressive groups with settlement money, and funnel taxpayer dollars into foreign nations for electric vehicle chargers. However, I cannot stand idly by as we barrel toward the passage of an appropriations "deal" that will increase spending by billions over levels set by Nancy Pelosi.
