Rep. Roy issues statement on H.R. 6126

WASHINGTON —Rep. Chip Roy (TX-21) issued the following statement following votes Thursday evening:

Today, I voted to pass a $14.3 billion aid package to help our great ally Israel confront Hamas. Israel has a right to exist, defend itself and her people, and make Hamas pay for its heinous terrorist attack. Period. 

Importantly, this package was offset by rescinding $14.3 billion in funding for Biden’s IRS army. Shamefully, 194 Democrats chose to fund an army of IRS agents targeting the American people over the Israeli army fighting Hamas. As we stare down $34 trillion in debt, we must ensure that any new funding – for whatever purposes – is paid-for.
