Rep. Roy issues statement on House Judiciary Committee Democrats' votes against swearing oaths to God and saying the Pledge of Allegiance

WASHINGTON — Rep. Chip Roy (TX-21) issued the following statement Thursday evening:

Today in the House Judiciary Committee's first meeting of the 117th Congress, every Democrat member voted against simple amendments offered by Republicans to recite the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America at each committee meeting and to swear an oath to Almighty God when giving testimony.

There is no better evidence of how out of touch they are with the American people.
