Rep. Roy issues statement on continuing resolution vote

WASHINGTON, DC — Representative Chip Roy (TX-21) issued the following statement:

On Thursday, Congress voted to continue funding a government at war with the American people. Tellingly - only half of Republicans joined with virtually every House Democrat to pass a continuing resolution that spends beyond levels set by Pelosi and rubberstamps the radical agenda of the Biden administration.

Most troublingly, this bill again fails to use the power of the purse to force Biden to the table and secure the border. 

Texans are fed up with this administration that is openly allowing chaos in their state. I refuse to help this administration wreak more havoc on the people I represent. For these reasons, I voted no and will continue to work to build a coalition of those willing to stand up to the President and bureaucrats as our duty demands that we do.
