Rep. Roy issues statement on ARTICLE ONE Act

WASAHINGTON, DC — Representative Chip Roy (TX-21) issued the following statement: 

"I'm glad to see the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee unanimously passed my bipartisan ARTICLE ONE Act (H.R. 3988). Republicans and Democrats both agree that Congress must check the President's power to declare national emergencies.

I want to thank Subcommittee Chairman Scott Perry and Chairman Sam Graves for working to move through committees. I look forward to working with my colleagues in the Senate to pass the ARTICLE ONE Act into law."
