Rep. Roy commemorates the United States Army’s birthday

June 14, 2021

WASHINGTON—On Monday, Rep. Chip Roy (TX-21) issued the following statement in honor of the U.S. Army's 246 years of service to our nation:

On this day 246 years ago, the Second Continental Congress formed the United States Army to fight the Revolutionary War. Entrusted with the preservation of peace and protection of our nation, the U.S. Army has been an ass-kicking force for freedom throughout history, growing to be the largest branch in our military. Today, we honor and celebrate those who have courageously answered the call to serve in the U.S. Army.
