Rep. Roy Calls for State Legislature to Prioritize Eminent Domain Reform

I recently penned a letter to State Senator Brian Birdwell, the Chairman of the Natural Resources and Economic Development Committee, urging the committee to begin discussions on eminent domain reform in anticipation of next legislative session. Texans need to maintain confidence in the processes conducted to develop the infrastructure that will allow our economy to flourish with energy at the forefront. I hope the committee will take up and debate legislation that strikes a balance between public interests and property rights, including water, for Texas landowners.
