Rep. Chip Roy leads colleagues in congratulating Argentina President-elect Milei

November 29, 2023

WASHINGTON, DC — On Wednesday, Representative Chip Roy (TX-21) led a group of his colleagues in congratulating President-elect Javier Milei on his victory in Argentina’s 2023 national election and expressing a desire to work with him to strengthen the Western Hemisphere.

The legislators wrote, “Your message of freedom, liberty, and advancing economic prosperity through limited government and fiscal responsibility has united the Argentine people in a historic way. As Members of Congress, we look forward to partnering with you to advance these shared values for the remainder of the 118th Congress and beyond.”

“As Argentina pursues liberty, economic freedom, and the rule of law, we hope our two nations can revitalize our historic robust relationship centered on our shared commitment to these principles,” the members of Congress said. “It is now more important than ever that we stand together to promote shared economic prosperity and counter the CCP or any other adversary that seeks to erode our values in the Western Hemisphere. We are eager to work together and welcome you back to the United States as the newly elected President of the Argentine Republic.”
