Rep. Chip Roy On Bringing Brandon Judd To The State Of The Union

February 5, 2019

WASHINGTON, D.C.--Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) released the following statement Tuesday regarding his guest for the State of the Union Address:

"It is an honor to be joined by Brandon Judd, the president of the National Border Patrol Council, for President Donald Trump's second State of the Union Address. Mr. Judd has a long history of serving this country. Few have more experience and more knowledge of what it takes to ensure America stays a sovereign and secure nation than Mr. Judd.

He represents the men and women of Border Patrol, who are on the ground day in, day out, selflessly risking their lives to secure the border. In recognition of the service and sacrifice of these agents, Congress should provide them the resources they need (and have been asking for) to prevent dangerous trans-national cartels from having operational control of large areas of our border. I'm happy Mr. Judd could join me tonight to represent our brave Border Patrol agents and hear firsthand from the President of the United States as he discusses the state of our country in the ‘People's House.'"
