Rep. Chip Roy On The Appointment of John Ratcliffe

July 29, 2019

Rep. Chip Roy released the following statement Monday morning on the appointment of Rep. John Ratcliffe to become the next Director of National Intelligence:

I am thrilled to see that President Donald Trump is appointing my friend and colleague John Ratcliffe to become the next Director of National Intelligence. A patriot with the track record to prove it, John has served his country with honor for decades and I have no doubt our nation is in good hands with him at the helm of the Office of National Intelligence.

Before becoming a member of Congress, John served as a U.S. Attorney and federal terrorism prosecutor, putting terrorists in prison and defending American sovereignty both at home and abroad. While in Congress, John has served on both the Intelligence, Homeland Security, and Judiciary committees, giving him insights into the threats our nation faces and how best to tackle strategically address them in order to defend the United States of America.

I have zero doubt John will do a fantastic job and wish him all the best as he goes through the confirmation process in the Senate.
