Congressman Roy Announces Promotion of Hannah Arvey to Legislative Director
WASHINGTON — Today, Congressman Chip Roy (TX-21) announced the promotion of Hannah Arvey to the role of Legislative Director from her position as Senior Policy Advisor.
Arvey’s primary issue expertise has been in the area of national security, defense, and foreign affairs, notably, most recently guiding passage of H.R. 23 through the U.S. House, a bill sanctioning the International Criminal Court. She also covers veterans affairs, education, and other legislative matters.
“Hannah has been with our office from the very beginning, serving as our very first intern," Congressman Roy said. "She is an indispensable part of our team, well respected among her peers throughout Capitol Hill, and brings a wealth of legislative experience and expertise to the table. We are blessed to have her and look forward to her service now in this new role.”
Hannah previously serviced as Staff Assistant in the office of Congressman Jody Hice, and has served in the TX-21 office as Legislative Aide, Legislative Assistant, and Senior Policy Advisor. She is a native of Alpharetta, Georgia, a graduate of Georgia Southern University, and a military spouse — married to her husband James of 6 years.
