Rep. Roy calls on Republicans to stop funding a ‘government that’s going to fund tyranny’

November 30, 2021

WASHINGTON —On Monday, Rep. Chip Roy (TX-21) joined Mark Levin in an interview expressing the urgency for congressional Republicans not to fund a government that will force vaccine mandates upon millions of Americans or force women to register for the draft.

Full audio of the interview is available at the link here and some key quotes are below:

  • The official position of Republicans should be that under no circumstances should we vote for the National Defense Authorization Act if it continues to include this provision to draft women or at least doesn't get rid of the draft. My first position is just don't draft women. But, if you're going to do that, then just abolish the draft.
  • I want a strong defense… but I don't want to have my ten year old daughter have to register for selective service in eight years so some incompetent rogue like Biden can do what they just did in Afghanistan or have my daughter sitting in a damn foxhole because these incompetent losers want to allow our daughters to be drafted.
  • Republicans should not vote for a continuing resolution or any other funding mechanism this week when the funding for the government expires on December 3rd. No Republican, House or Senate, should vote to fund that as long as these [vaccine] mandates are in place.
  • We're not going to fund government as long as these Dr. Fauci inspired, unlawful, unconstitutional tyrannical mandates are in place … Stop the NDAA from drafting our daughters and stop funding government that's going to fund tyranny.
  • Donald Trump was popular and is popular today because he fought this town. He fought the establishment. He didn't accept the status quo. He took it to them and that's what the American people want, they want us to fight.
