WASHINGTON— On Wednesday, Rep. Chip Roy (TX-21) joined Shannon Bream in an interview to discuss the Biden administration’s failed response to the border crisis, which continues to spiral out of control and endanger American lives.

Full length of the interview is available at the link here and some key quotes are below:

  • The problem is that the American people don’t understand the extent to which reaches up into our communities throughout this country, in terms of the number of Americans who are dying from opioid overdoses because of all of the narcotics flowing into our country.
  • Where is Joe Biden?  Where is Secretary Mayorkas?  … These are border patrol agents that are now being sullied by the administration with lies about saying they’re using reigns to steer their horses to be able to try to control the border.
  • In my state, in my home, the people that I love, and the people that I’m trying to represent are being negatively impacted and harmed because the dereliction of duty of this secretary and this president.  I can’t even put it into words, how offensive it is.
  • This administration is causing [the border crisis]. They could avoid it if they just simply enforce title 42 health code provisions and if they enforce the migrant protection protocols, which a federal judge ordered them to do and they are refusing to do it.
