ICYMI: Rep. Roy: ‘I’m not going to bow down to the altar of the vaccine passport crowd’

July 28, 2021

WASHINGTON— Recently, Rep. Chip Roy (TX-21) joined OANN's program, Tipping Point, to discuss the increased demands for government intervention and coercion in Americans' private medical decisions and his fight to defend medical privacy and civil liberties.

Full clip of the interview can be found here and some key quotes are below:

  • Let's remember in 2020, when this was all unfolding, that we started off with 2 weeks to flatten the curve, right. Which all turned into panic, lockdowns, shutdowns- shutdown a 100,000 businesses, shutdown our schools, make our kids wear masks, scare them into absolute submission.
  • Now we've got higher suicide rates, we've got mental health issues, we got people who couldn't go to the doctor, massive impact on our economy. All why? Because government knew best.

  • You know what's best for your family. We know what's best for our family. And I'm not going to ever go out and tell anybody whether I've had the vaccine or not and I'm not going to bow down to the altar of the vaccine passport crowd.

  • If you're pro-vaccine, the United States of America is now 50% vaccinated, we're something like 90% vaccinated for people over 65 and now these guys just want to keep shoving it down people's throats ignoring natural immunity, ignoring the ability of people to make their own decisions based on facts and they want to sham people into getting vaccinated.

  • But this business of government trying to force it down the throats of everybody including our kids, they can go to hell.
