‘Go take your school boards back and we’ll save this country’: Rep. Roy talks Loudoun, DOJ targeting and woke education

October 27, 2021

WASHINGTON— On Tuesday, following new updates on the recent rape case in Loudoun County, Virginia and the backlash against DOJ's move to target concerned parents at school board meetings, Rep. Chip Roy (TX-21) joined Rob Schmitt on Newsmax TV to urge the American people to take their school boards back and fight against the left's indoctrination agenda for their kids.

Full length of the interview can be found here and some key quotes are below:

  • We know now for sure, based on FOIA requests, we know now that [the National School Boards Association] were directly coordinating with the White House and that the Attorney General of the United States uses that to target parents. Well, God bless Americans for stepping up and saying, "we're going to take our school boards back."
  • We want school boards across the country to disassociate themselves [with NSBA], more importantly, we want parents to engage all across the country, take their school boards back.
  • Our government in the United States comes and derives its power from the consent of the governed… This country was founded on those concepts, founded on liberty, founded on limited government, founded on empowering the people- that we the people are the genesis of the power of the government, not Joe Biden, not school boards, not tyrants running around advancing a woke agenda that endangers your kids. Say no more, take it back. And that's what the American people are doing and we should be glad they're doing it.
  • The one blessing that may come out of this COVID nonsense is the American people got to see the garbage being taught to their kids- that America is evil, critical race theory, all of this nonsense- not math, not science, not English, but that America is evil. Go take your schools back and we'll save this country.
