Dear Governor Abbott:

[We] applaud your August 25, 2021 executive order maintaining prohibition of vaccine mandates in Texas and request that you continue to take all steps necessary to protect Texans from the tyrannical and unconstitutional orders recently issued by President Biden on September 9, 2021. Among other requirements, these orders would use federal OSHA regulations to force private companies with more than 100 employees to require COVID-19 vaccinations, in addition to placing requirements on schools with “head start” funding and most federal employees, including Texans.

[We] encourage you to utilize all powers vested in you as Governor of Texas and all tools at your disposal to ensure that the federal government does not penalize, arrest, fine, coerce, or otherwise harm any Texan – or shut down any Texas business from operating – due to these COVID-19-related mandates.  Specifically, Texas DPS and all other law enforcement entities or regulators in the state over which you exercise control should be instructed to 1) specifically refuse cooperation with any federal official attempting to enforce such mandates, and 2) take any steps possible to stop any federal official from taking action against a Texan related to enforcement of such mandates.

We stand with you and are ready to work together as leaders of the people of this great state to ensure they can exercise their rights as Texans to carry out their livelihoods and otherwise pursue happiness consistent with the 9th and 10th Amendments to the United States Constitution.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.
