WASHINGTON—On Monday, Rep. Chip Roy (TX-21) joined Harris Faulkner on Fox News Channel to discuss the Biden administration’s efforts to push an unconstitutional vaccine mandate and how Republicans in Congress ought to respond.

Full length of the interview is available here and some key quotes are below:

  • There’s no power in the constitution for the President of the United States to just by edict say that employers have to vaccinate their employees across this country… It’s a terrible policy and the Biden administration should be shut down in trying to do it.
  • It is incumbent upon the American people to want to defend their own families, take care of their families.
  • We need Republicans to stand up and say that we’re not going to fund the government on December 3rd with the continuing resolution if these mandates stay in place.  So, I’m calling on my colleagues to stand strong and not fund a government that’s going to go do propaganda on our kids and put these unconstitutional mandates in place.
  • The American people are waking up to what bureaucrats are doing every single day, undermining our freedoms, using PBS and using the long arm of government… because of an unnecessary virtue signaling mandate from a president who barely even knows where he is in the morning.
